Late Hours at Mirror Lake

I was lucky to have my stay at Mirror Lake coincide with a nearly full moon. Great photo opportunities aided by experimentation with the digital camera.

A calm lake at sunset. The silhouettes of the big pines at this hour make them more visible.

The canoe in front of the cabin in the fading twilight. Here we are looking east, opposite the sunset.

The canoe now illuminated only by the bright moonlight. Even at this late hour, jackets weren't necessary. It was more like August than October.
