Highway US41 ends at Copper Harbor, after some miles as a designated Scenic Route. The last stretch wind through an arboreal tunnel, the tree tops arching completely over the road. US 41 heads down through the Keweenaw and L'anse, swings eastward through Marquette, south to Escanaba, then back west for a bit before finally heading south to Yooper Mecca, Green Bay.

Stone Boat
This fabulous bit of folk art is located near Mohawk. It is constructed from mine rock, brick and scrap metal. It was built in the '30's as a WPA Project at about the same time as the fabulous Keweenaw Mountain Lodge in Copper Harbor was constructed.

The Snow Thermometer
The Keweenaw is one of the snowiest places in Michigan, and they have the numbers to prove it. The Keweenaw Road Commision maintains this indicator which shows current seasonal snowfall , and at the top, the record of 390.4 inches!

Phoenix Church Museum
This quaint old church in Phoenix, a mining ghost town, is preserved today as a museum, open during summer months. The church still makes history today for couples who come from all over the country to be wed in this hallowed hall.
